The Jiffy Peat Plugs are used to raise your seedlings and cuttings in a clean environment. It is made from the highest quality sterilised peat so is perfect for starting off your seedlings in the best way possible. Likewise, they provide optimum air porosity whilst not causing any root disturbance making sure your plants develop better.

To use the Jiffy Peat Plugs, simply place the pellets into a saucer or propagator. It is important that you place them hole side up and add a small amount of water to the bottom of the container. You will soon notice that they will begin to expand, leave them to soak for around 20 minutes. If you are placing seeds inside then you will need to make a small hole in the top of the peat about 5mm deep, drop the seed in and gently recover. However, for cuttings make a thin hole deep into the pellet and push the cutting around 3/4 of the way through. Then place the peat down around the stem, making sure that no air can get in.
Finally when roots begin to show either place the pellet inside a transplanting cube or into soil and let them continue to grow.
